A 30 minute one pot wonder of rigatoni in a really delicious sauce with ground beef, delicious spiciness, and you are going to love it. It comes together really fast and it is a family favorite. If you don’t want to make it spicy, omit the red pepper flakes, but if you do then it’s really nice and spicy and delicious.This is incredibly versatile, it’s just giving you an idea for what to put on the table on a Tuesday night when your kids have extracurricular activities going on, the school run, you’ve got work to finish up and you want to make something easy and simple, one pot so that you don’t have to get your whole kitchen dirty and that your whole family will love, this is that recipe for you. Take this as an idea, you don’t want to use ground beef, you can use a mix of vegetables, maybe you want to use a mix of mushrooms and carrots and zucchini or you want to use ground turkey or ground chicken, use that instead, you want to use ground sausage.
ONE POT RIGATONI RECIPE:
1lb of Ground Beef
1 Tbsp of Olive Oil
1 Small Onion, diced
3 Cloves of Garlic, minced
Pinch of Hot Pepper Flakes
2 cups of Chicken Stock
1 cup of Milk
1/4 cup of Heavy Cream
2 cups of Tomato Sauce or Marinara Sauce
2 tsp of Italian Seasoning
12 oz of Rigatoni
1/2 cup of Freshly Grated Parm
Fresh Basil
Salt to taste
Preparation method
Everything happens in one pan,add a little bit of olive oil, not much because the ground beef is going to lend out its own fat.
Add an onion, add garlic. It’s going to take about 5-6 minutes, so just keep an eye on it.
That only needs like 20 seconds.
Add beef stock, you can use chicken stock, you can use, quite frankly you can use nothing, you can just use water. Add some tomato sauce, you can use crushed tomatoes,A mixture of milk and cream, this makes it a little bit creamy, it makes it so unbelievably delicious, you’re going to have a good pinch of Italian seasoning.Let this just come to a boil and then we’ll add our pasta. Make sure it’s up to a boil, you’re going to add your pasta right in.
Cover it, it just cooks easier when you do, and this just needs a little bit longer than you would if you were cooking it in boiling water, it’s about 10 minutes or so. Give that all a good mix, see it absorbs all of that water. Once this is done, you’re ready to eat. Finish it with some parmigiano, you can also add basil when you go to serve it.
